Doug is responsible for investment and financing strategies at Western Wealth Capital, as well as the execution of asset management and risk management across the company’s portfolio of investment properties. He first joined the company in 2017 as Executive Vice President and was instrumental in the achievement of $6 billion in total transactional value across 170 acquisition and disposition transactions. In 2023, Doug was promoted to Western Wealth Capital’s Chief Investment Officer and his role expanded to include acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, and construction management. Doug’s goal is to continue to grow the company’s track record of value creation for investors while doing it on human terms. His in-depth market knowledge, vast real estate investment experience, and influential industry connections are essential to the foundation and future of Western Wealth Capital.

Doug’s experience prior to Western Wealth Capital included wide oversight of asset valuation, deal structure, financing, and overall company stewardship. He has served as the Vice President of Finance, Capital, and Investments for Amacon Development Group (Amacon), a leading Canadian real estate development and construction firm, and served in several management roles with Canadian financial institutions. While at Amacon, he placed $1.5 billion in new construction loans and long-term real estate loans, as well as structured numerous credits requiring syndicated financing participants. Throughout his career, he has developed strong relationships with commercial real estate brokers in multiple geographic markets and analyzed property acquisitions across all product types. These lifelong connections have contributed to his ability to rapidly source and acquire large investment volumes that meet disciplined criteria to maximize returns for investment partners. His connections and experience are further complimented by his education – Doug holds an MBA in finance from Dalhousie University.
